Twin Cities Burger Battle founder, and food event veteran Jim Buron brings his passion for burgers in spotlighting his home-state of Minnesota. ‘We believe this area has some of the best burgers in the country,” states Jim. “This year’s Burger Battle enables us to show off more of the culinary capabilities and creativity from a variety of Minnesota establshments.”
To claim the title of Twin Cities Burger Battle Champion, burgers will be judged by a team of chefs, culinary professionals, and local celebrities. Burgers will be judged on presentation, taste, juiciness, creativity and originality. A second award will be given to the burger that wins The People’s Choice Award. All attendees will be given a token to vote for their winning burger.
The format is simple. Each restaurant will prepare one version of a burger ‘slider’ along with a small ‘side’ for approximately 2,000 attendees. The burger created by each participating restaurant can be any burger of their choosing be it a new creation or an existing burger from their menu. Expect the traditional and non-traditional including sides ranging from french fries and cheese curds to grilled fruits and vegetables. Checkout our recap of the 2104 Burger Battle to learn more.
Participants can eat all the burgers they want for 3 hours including beer and water provided by Fulton and Summit. Additional activities will be provided by this year’s sponsors including KDWB, K-FAN, and German Fest. Host and commentary will be provided celebrity couple Falen from KDWB and KFAN’s “Meatsauce” Paul Lambert.
Be sure to get your tickets quickly as last year’s sold out two weeks prior to the event.
